- I am a stay at home wife and mother of two little boys living in Southern California. I love crafting of all kinds; knitting,crocheting, sewing, paper crafting... I also have a real fascination for vintage and old world crafts. I love to collect old books, magazines and patterns and have made christmas ornaments from magazines of the '50's, knitted baby sweaters from my collection of '40's knitting patterns, sewn a dress from a 1930's sewing pattern and even made fountain pen wipers from my 1867 copy of Godey's Lady's Book. My new interest is in learning old world scandinavian crafts such as Viking knit chain making and naalbinding. I Homeschool both my children, which is why I am often found sitting up alone until three o"clock in the morning working on one of my latest projects ( I always have at least three or four going at one time! ) while watching an old movie on TCM.
